Human genome is the complete set of genetic material. It contains all the
information that needed to build up our body. With the development of
sequencing technique recently, it's now easier, faster and cheaper to get
the sequence of specific genes or even the whole genome.
Although the
human genome has been completely sequenced, it is not yet fully understood
and as we dig deeper, there are interesting things ahead.

The aim of our group is to understand how genetic alteration contributes
not only to disease pathophysiology but also to an individual's susceptibility,
response to treatment and prognosis. So far, we focus on neuroendocrine
disorders such as:

  • Parkinson's diseases
  • West syndrome
  • Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease
  • Primary hyperaldosteronism
  • Glioblastoma
  • Diabetes and other metabolism disorders
